Sal Alonge, President: In 2012, at the age of 29 Sal was featured in the Engineering News Record top 20 under 40. A third generation plumber, Sal has the plumbing industry embedded into his very being. After having quickly scaled to the top of the industry, leading projects like 1 and 3 World Trade Center as well as the WTC transportation hub, Sal has returned to his roots by taking over the business his parents started. He is the President of S & L Plumbing and Heating Corp, which has been serving the community for over 30 years. Sal, his beautiful wife Dana, and their two children Salvatore and Gianna live in North Salem, NY.
Michael Alonge, Vice President: Michael was introduced to the plumbing business in 2005. He officially began his career with S & L Plumbing and Heating Corp. in 2009, after graduating from Suny Maritime College with a business degree in international transportation and trade. After two years of administrative work, Michael continued his education and entered the Local 21 certified apprenticeship program, where he would gain the buildingblocks to become an elite leader in the field.
Kevin Nickerson, Managing Partner: As a plumber Kevin is a fourth generation tradesman. Growing up in a plumbing and mechanical household, he grew up with a knack to fix things deemed irreparable. He’s used his outside the box thinking and unshakable determination, to problem solve in ways that seem almost unnatural. Having over a decade in the industry there are few unknowns that remain for him to see. Kevin's wife, Jamie, is a breast cancer survivor. At the early age of 29, shortly after Jamie was diagnosed, the Young Survival Coalition (YSC) reached out to her to make her aware that a potential side effect of the chemotherapy she was about to endure could lead to; infertility. With this information, and with the help of the YSC, Jamie went through the process of having her eggs frozen. After having been married, and trying unsuccessfully to have children on their own they used Jamie’s eggs. By the time of implementation only two eggs were left, and at the advice of their doctor, they implanted both. Today, they have two beautiful and healthy daughters, their own Mini Miracles.
