Why “Mini Miracles”?

Kevin's wife, Jamie, is a breast cancer survivor. At the young age of 29, shortly after Jamie was diagnosed, the Young Survival Coalition (YSC) reached out to her to make her aware that a potential side effect of the chemotherapy she was about to endure could lead to infertility. With this information, and with the help of the YSC, Jamie went through the process of having her eggs frozen. After having been married, and trying unsuccessfully to have children on their own, they used Jamie’s eggs. By the time of implementation, only two eggs were left, and at their doctor's advice, they implanted both. Today, they have two beautiful and healthy daughters, their own Mini Miracles.

Who We Are

Kevin Nickerson (Owner/Operator)

As a fourth-generation tradesman and experienced plumber, my journey in the plumbing, heating, and cooling industry began long before I even realized it. Growing up in a household where plumbing and mechanical work were a way of life, I was immersed in a world of wrenches, pipes, and valves. It was within this environment that I learned the true value of fixing what was broken and honed my skills across a wide spectrum of trades.

From a young age, I embarked on a path of learning and discovery, seeking to understand every aspect of the plumbing trade. I eagerly absorbed the knowledge passed down through generations, gaining a deep understanding of the intricate systems that make our modern world function seamlessly. Whether it was tinkering with a leaky faucet, repairing a faulty HVAC unit, or installing an elaborate plumbing system from scratch, I embraced each task with enthusiasm and dedication.
As I pursued my career, I had the privilege of working in a diverse range of settings. The places I have seen and projects I have been a part of are nothing short of awe-inspiring.

I've had the opportunity to contribute to the smooth functioning of hospitals, where the work we do directly impacts the wellbeing of patients. Pharmaceutical laboratories, where cutting-edge research takes place, have also been a part of my journey. Collaborating within R&D facilities for renowned companies like Regeneron, PepsiCo, and Dannon Yogurt has exposed me to the importance of innovation and efficiency.

But it doesn't stop there. My work has taken me to many places, from apartment buildings to powerhouses, schools to prisons, and even as far as beneath the surface of the Hudson River, 638 feet down. Each new location has presented unique challenges and opportunities for growth, expanding my expertise and further fueling my passion for this trade.

Yet, amidst the countless projects and varied work environments, I have come to truly appreciate the most rewarding aspect of my job as a plumber. It is not merely about fixing problems or mastering the technicalities of the trade. Rather, it is about using my expertise to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

From the elderly experiencing plumbing troubles in their homes to families facing the discomfort of a broken heating system during a harsh winter, I have had the opportunity to step in and provide solutions. In these moments, I have witnessed the relief and gratitude on the faces of those I have helped. It is the knowledge that my work has a direct impact on improving the quality of life for others that brings me the greatest satisfaction. With every job, I am reminded of the importance of my craft - the critical role plumbing, heating, and cooling play in our daily lives.

Beyond the tangible repairs, I have learned to provide peace of mind and reassurance to those who have entrusted me with their plumbing needs. It is this human connection, this ability to offer support in times of distress, that continues to drive me forward in my career.

As a fourth-generation tradesman and experienced plumber with 16 years in the industry, I am proud of the knowledge and expertise I have gained. But more importantly, I am humbled by the opportunity to use my skills to help others. Whether it be fixing a leaky pipe or installing a state-of-the-art system, I am dedicated to delivering exceptional service and making a positive impact, one plumbing miracle at a time.
